"Most obstacles melt away when we make up our minds to walk boldly through them." ~ Orison Swett Marden

Feeling the blues….

Having the occasional case of the blues is perfectly normal. This however doesn’t make dealing with it any easier. Life is a roller coaster..when it comes to our emotions. Some days we feel as high as Mt. Everest, and other days we don’t even want to get out of bed in the morning..Most of the time though we are somewhere in between. I’ve mentioned before that surrounding yourself with positive people is key, but there are also some other helpful suggestions. For instance, reflect on any pass success you’ve had. When you’ve experienced failure on a grand scale, or are feeling a sense of utter hopelessness, it’s easy to forget everything you ever done right. This suggestion will help you build self-confidence, and help you generate some new ideas on what to try next for success in the future. A change of scenery is also helpful. When you get into a negative mood, you start to associate those feelings with everything around you. The last thing you want is your environment as a constant reminder of your problems. A solution may be cleaning up, adding some pleasant decorations, or more lights. This can completely change the mood of a room. Finally, interact with animals and nature. It’s funny how much humans put so much emphasis on their own little problems. Animals don’t think this way. Animals live in the present moment and show love unconditionally, therefore, observing and interacting with them will help tremendously. 🙂
