Autumn just around the corner…

What a summer it has been! Couldn’t of asked for better weather to do some of my favourite activities..Keeping busy with my work is at
the top of my list, however, i also did some hiking, and had some wonderful roadtrips up and down Vancouver Island.. taking in mother nature and all her beauty and splendor! This summer was a great time as well for me to connect with some old friends, some i haven’t
seen in twenty years..hopefully I don’t have to wait another twenty years to see them again 😉 Alas, now it is time to hunker down and stick to a schedule again 🙂 It’s not that I’ve become lazy, in fact it’s just the opposite. I’m too busy! Dividing time between things I want to do and the things I have to do can be a challenge at best some times. I’m sure most of you can relate..perhaps putting a lot of projects of your own on the back burner for the past couple of months.. I want to share six tips with you that can be helpful for making progress and managing time better in the upcoming fall..

1. Create To-Do Lists
There are are a lot of experts out there that will tell you to do this and they’re right! It is truly one of the best habits to get  into.2.

2.Break Projects into Smaller Chunks
If you have a hard time with sitting down and completing a project all at once, I highly recommend this technique. While you are
making progress with your project, you can feel good about completing each small task.

3. Prioritize Your Workload
This is going to sound obvious to some of you who are like me and try to balance too many things at the same time. This not only helps with taking care of the more important tasks first but helps focus your time.

4. Complete The Small Tasks
This is the easy part, and the most rewarding 🙂

5. Check The Completed Tasks Off Your To-Do List
This may sound a little silly but works..Checking each task off as you accomplish it is great to do as this gives you the visual that you have completed something.

6. Carry The List Over
If there is something that isn’t completed today, then it’s rolled over to tomorrows list.

Hopefully these tips are of some help for you transitioning into the season of autumn 🙂
